“Hispanics do not widely participate in trials because of a lack of access to them and a lack of cultural sensitivity to Latino patients’ circumstances.”

Deep understanding of minority health populations

Profia Health works to improve the health of Latinos and other underserved minority populations by closing gaps in knowledge of their health risks and responses to medical treatments.

The Problem

Despite the size of the Hispanic and minority populations in the United States, not enough is known or proven about how medical interventions and pharmaceuticals affect these communities.

Our Solution

We are building a nationwide network among community medical centers and hospitals that serve minority populations, which will allow us to conduct clinical research, engaging patients in studies of novel therapies and bio-analytics, searching broad sets of records for patterns in medical outcomes.

Our Future

Our network allows us to grow a database of “real-world evidence,” statistically significant measures of health conditions and the effects of treatments, as well as efficiently collect genetic information. The combination allows us to support industry and academic studies and conduct our own.
